      <title>Transnational Foresight for a ”Black Sea Higher Education Area”</title>

      <description>The event, which took place between September 1 and 2 2011 at the Bucharest Intercontinental Hotel, was the last of the 10 Mutual Learning Workshops, the “Bucharest Dialogues”. Among the guests there were well-known international foresight experts (Ozcan Saritas, Ricardo Seidl da Fonseca, Jack Smith) who discussed topics such as: Future of Higher Education: The case of the Romanian cluster of strategic projects in UE; Overview of the Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental and Political Context for the Black Sea Region: Challenges and Opportunities; UNIDO Transnational Foresight Exercises: Experience from Latin America and CEE.</description>

      <title>Strategic Intelligence for Extended Regional Coherence - UNIDO Eurasian Virtual Center for Foresight 2.0</title>

      <description>Part of the Quality and Leadership for Romanian Higher Education project, Strategic Intelligence for Extended Regional Coherence - UNIDO Eurasian Virtual Center for Foresight 2.0 took place on August 30 and 31, 2011. The event was organized as a workshop under the umbrella of the “Bucharest Dialogues”, with the participation of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) - Tatiana Cherniavskaya, OPTI (Observatory for Industrial Technology Foresight) - Pilar Rodriguez Ruiz,  JRC-IPTS  (Joint Research Centre - Institute for Prospective Technological Studies) – Cristiano Cagnin, AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology) - Matthias Weber, Adrian Curaj (UEFISCDI) and other foresight experts. The moderator of the event was  UNIDO's Ricardo Seidl da Fonseca.</description>

      <description>During June 27th - July the 1st will take place in Bucharest the mutual learning workshop called “Crazy Futures”. The workshop will bring together colorful characters from the fields of Foresight &amp; Future Studies, from Australia, US, Europe and India.

Jim Dator, Grandfather of Futures Studies, who first suggested the idea of crazy futures 
Jennifer Gidley, RMIT University
Wendy Schultz, Independent Futurists who specializes on crazy ideas
Jordi Serra, Independent Futurist
