      <title>Modernizing Romanian Higher Education: the Second Meeting of EUA Experts</title>

      <description>Between May 30 and 31, 2011, the second meeting of the European University Association expert group took place in the UEFISCDI offices and focused on the modernizing of Romanian higher education.
Among the participants there were EUA representatives, rectors, members of national councils, student and trade union representatives.
The meeting was aimed at providing a framework for dialogue for the EUA representatives and Romanian higher education managers. The topic for discussion was data collection and processing for the “Assessment Methodology for University Classification and Differentiation of Study Programs” as provided by the National Education Law.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

      <description>Between May 26 and 27, 2011, the 2nd International and National Advisory Board Meeting took place in Bucharest, bringing together international experts working on strategic projects for Romanian higher education.
The meeting focused on a discussion of the main aspects of the future of Romanian higher education: the “2025 Vision”, university differentiation, Romania in the context of international initiatives, a new approach to university and doctoral school management, the National Student Enrollment Registry, and labor market insertion for graduates.

      <title>Training “The Delphi Method in Foresight Studies”</title>

      <description>A new training session in foresight studies and strategic planning took place in Sinaia over two days, April 18 and 19, 2011.
The topic was “The Delphi Method in Foresight Studies”.
The training session was led by four international experts: Murray Turoff, Professor Emeritus at  New Jersey Institute of Technology and co-author of The Delphi Method:Techniques and Applications, Victor Banuls, Associate Professor at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, Gerd Van Den Eede, Director of Education and Student Affairs, Lessius University College in Antwerp and Starr Roxanne Hiltz, Professor Emerita at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
The event concerned particularly university and department management members, members of university quality assurance committees, but also social partners in education.
